GET TO KNOW ME!

Hello there!
My name is Mary Kiss, and I am passionate about digital art! Currently I am enrolled in Academy of Art University and studying to be an Animator. Being an Animator is all about storytelling and with my art I always want there to be something to relate to or understand! I have learned and qualified in creating animations, storyboards, concept art, character designs, prop designs, and environmental designs.
Understanding the whole process of creating a film starts with the concepts of what is needed to create the film and all while getting the storyboard ready to know your shots so everything sequences perfectly to fit. Then the animation process starts with blocking in and getting more detailed later. There are many steps in the creation of being part of a studio, but it all pays off.
I know the applications such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, Clip Studio, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and other adobe applications. Having as much knowledge in the applications or being open to trying another is something I am willing to do because understanding the process of animation is more crucial.
Being part of community of artists wanting to achieve a film or video game with the traditional animation would be industry work that I am interested in working on. Indie companies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Cartoon Saloon, Powerhouse Animation Studios, Puppetworks, and any other studios in Europe/UK!
The reason for wanting to be a 2D Animator is my favorite animated character, Luffy D. Monkey. As a child that never could sit still and watch anything until one night waking up to the television playing the older channel showing this anime called One Piece. I must of have been around five years old, but I was intrigued with the movement and the style. Cartoons were okay but I could never put down Anime since it had more expressions, more movement, and more of a story that I could relate to. So, I kept watching One Piece and Luffy as an animated character feels more real each episode I watched and changed how I viewed my art. I wanted to animate it!
